Tenancy law is much more than a practice area to me, which is why I strive to assist my clients in the best and most cost-effective way that I can. I have been helping landlords and tenants since before attending law school, volunteering my time with non-profits and pro-bono organizations that help individuals navigate housing-related issues. And as someone who has been in the position of both landlord and tenant, I can understand some of the challenges faced by both. I look forward to the opportunity to help you with your tenancy dispute.

Alongside English, I speak German and Farsi fluently, and am currently learning Hindi in my spare time. 

With a background in architecture and legal administration, I bring a unique perspective to my role as legal assistant. After moving to Canada three years ago, I transitioned from design to law, driven by a passion for advocacy and helping others navigate the legal system. I’m generally the person you talk to first when you contact our office, and I aim to ensure that your needs are met. Outside the office, I’m an avid nature lover who enjoys exploring the outdoors and new adventures.

I am able to assist you in both English and in Farsi.

Before my call to the bar, I had an enriching career in business and 2SLGBTQIA+ activism that gave me a wealth of life experience that I now get to draw on when assisting clients. Since becoming a lawyer, I’ve also had the privilege of working at a dynamic, medium-sized law firm where I’ve dedicated myself to helping clients stand up for their rights, both in and out of court. My aim is to use my diverse background to find the best solutions for you, so you can return to focusing on what truly matters in your life.

Selen brings legal training and practical office experience to her role as Office Coordinator at Bright Law. Before moving to Canada, she worked as a lawyer and supported attorneys in a busy firm, building a strong foundation in document management, compliance, and client communication.

At Bright Law, Selen is often one of the first voices clients hear. She approaches each interaction with patience and professionalism, helping create a calm and reliable experience for both clients and colleagues.

With a focus on client engagement, I aim to provide exceptional service in an otherwise difficult situation for our clients. As an aspiring lawyer, I understand the need for seamless communication between our clients and our legal team. My background in clinical genetics, and as a Taekwondo Instructor, ensures that I’m able to adapt to any environment.

Ekvir is a Paralegal at Bright Law with a background in advocacy and client-facing work. With a degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and experience assisting on family and administrative matters, she brings both analytical thinking and practical tribunal exposure to her role.

Ekvir focuses on guiding clients through each step with clarity and respect, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the process. She is fluent in English and Punjabi.
