Tenant Compensation

A fixed amount owed to tenants if landlord notices are given in bad faith or their requirements are not met, separate from claims for direct damage. Compensation is typically 1 month's rent if a notice to end tenancy was received, or 12 months' rent if the purpose of a notice to end tenancy was not established.
