Strata Bylaws

Building rules that apply alongside the RTA. These would generally need to be provided when a tenancy in a strata building starts, as most strata's require owners to provide Form K's containing the tenant's information. Bylaws can regulate behaviour (noise, parking) but can’t erase tenant protections. Disputes often involve coordination between landlord, tenant, and strata. Breaking bylaws and incurring fines may be sufficiently serious for a landlord to have cause to end a tenancy. In extreme cases, a strata corporation can also initiate an eviction.
