Dispute resolution proceedings

The RTB’s tribunal process (instead of court) to resolve tenancy disputes; it has its own rules and powers, which are different than other court proceedings. For example, RTB hearings are held over the phone, and generally last only a total of one (1) hour. Participants are expected to upload their evidence to the RTB dispute access portal and are also expected to serve their documents in a verifiable manner to the RTB at a hearing.
