Court-Ordered Costs
An order requiring one party in a court proceeding to pay a portion of the other party's legal costs, usually because they lost. Unlike RTB hearings, BC Supreme Court proceedings, including judicial reviews, carry this risk: if your judicial review is unsuccessful, you may be ordered to pay some of the other side's costs. This is a key reason to get legal advice before filing.
