The scuffs, fading, and minor deterioration that come from ordinary living. Tenants aren’t charged for wear; landlords aren’t insurers of “like‑new forever.” Damage is breakage, neglect, or misuse and can justify deductions or claims. We recommend that you review RTB Policy Guideline 40 which outlines the life span of specific building components.
