Assignment

The tenant transfers the entire tenancy to a new tenant with the landlord’s consent, which can’t be unreasonably withheld. The assignee replaces the tenant; deposits and obligations usually move with the assignment. The RTB has published RTB Policy Guideline 19 which we recommend you to review for more information.
